Definition


Activity – means any Camp, Club, Course, Event or Activity organised and operated through any member of Activity Northern Ireland

 

Terms and Conditions – means the terms contained in this document and any other document referred to within it.

 

Bookings


By booking a place for your child on any Activity these Terms and Conditions.


Activity Northern Ireland offers both an online booking service and a paper booking service, bookings will not be completed until Activity Northern Ireland has received a completed booking form and payment in full. 


Bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions together with our website terms and conditions which are hereby incorporated.
For safety reasons, we can only guarantee a place on ANY Activity to those booking in advance. Those that arrive on the day will not be guaranteed a place on the activity.


All Activity Northern Ireland activities operate on a first come first-served basis. 


Before booking please ensure your child is able to attend the Activity and meets the conditions for such Activity as listed.


All bookings and payments are subject to the right to cancel in writing (or e-mail to us) within seven (7) calendar days from the date that you made the booking, pursuant to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. However, outside of this seven (7) calendar day period or within (14) calendar days of the activity starting, all bookings are final and non-refundable. 

At the discretion of Activity Northern Ireland a 20% deposit can be made for a booking. This deposit is non refundable.


If you have not taken payment protection with us and you want to change the booking please notify us as soon as possible giving full reasons why. Activity Northern Ireland will at its discretion try and accommodate any request to change a date or venue, please note any change will be subject to an administrative fee.

 

Promotions


Activity Northern Ireland may from time to time offer promotions, in the event that you have been issued with a promotional code, this code must be redeemed and used in accordance with both the terms and conditions of that promotion and these Terms and Conditions.

 

Payment


Activity Northern Ireland accepts PayPal/credit/debit card/Cash as methods of payment but all credit/debit card payments are subject to a £1 processing charge which will be added to your booking

A 10% monthly late fee will be applied to all bookings not paid within 30 days of the commencement of the activity.


For any child who is below the age of 16 written consent is required from a parent or legal guardian to be provided to Activity Northern Ireland in advance of the commencement of the Activity. This will be prompted on all Activity Northern Ireland literature and via tick box online.

 


Child Protection


All Activity Northern Ireland staff hold current child protection and DBS certification. In the event that a child makes a disclosure or a member of staff believes that the child is suffering from abuse, we will act in accordance with our child protection policy, a copy of which is available on request to Activity Northern Ireland.

 

Film/Photography


Activity Northern Ireland may from time to time take photographs/film of any of Activity Northern Ireland activity, the use of this data is solely for the purpose of promoting and publicising Activity Northern Ireland activities through our literature, website, press and TV.


Parents/guardians that do not wish for their child to be photographed/filmed must make Activity Northern Ireland aware of this at the time of booking or in writing before the Activity starts (where possible SSC will inform parents/guardians at the start of an Activity).


Activity Northern Ireland will hold all personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

 

Personal Property


Activity Northern Ireland cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any personal belongings whilst attending a Activity Northern Ireland activity. Please ensure that no valuables are taken to any venue by your children.

 

Health & Safety


A full risk assessment will be carried out before any activity takes place at a new venue. Activity Northern Ireland staff hold a current emergency aid certificate issued by an appropriate body.


By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are providing consent for Activity Northern Ireland staff to administer any and all necessary first aid to your child as required at any time.


For safety reasons it is compulsory for all attendees to wear shin pads on a Activity Northern Ireland activity which involves football, hockey or another contact sport.


Activity Northern Ireland reserves the right to refuse permission to participate for any child not wearing shin protection.


Activity Northern Ireland reserves the right to refuse permission to participate for any child not wearing suitable footwear.


It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure appropriate clothing is worn and/or available for their child for the Activity being undertaken and weather conditions.

 

Medical information


Any medical conditions that any participant may have must be fully disclosed (1) at the time of booking in writing to Activity Northern Ireland at registration and (2) to the lead coach on the activity or at the venue.

 

Liability


Activity Northern Ireland has Public Liability insurance.


Other than in relation to death, personal injury, or property damage, where Activity Northern Ireland or its staff is proven to be negligent, Activity Northern Ireland liability to you is limited to the booking fee paid by you.

 

Programme Changes


In the event that Activity Northern Ireland has to cancel an activity for any reason, a credit note for the full value of the booking fee paid will be issued to the person who booked or alternative provisions to stage the activity at another time will be arranged and confirmed to all, if you are unable to attend at the alternatively arranged time and confirm this to Activity Northern Ireland, Activity Northern Ireland will issue with a credit note to the full value of the booking fee paid.


In the event of inclement weather, all Activity Northern Ireland activities have suitable indoor areas to change, meet and eat lunch, and suitable indoor activities will be organised to replace the outdoor activities at the discretion of Activity Northern Ireland.

 

Leaving an Activity


Any child that is collected must be collected by a parent or guardian and such parent or guardian must sign the child out of the Activity with a member of Activity Northern Ireland staff. Any child that normally walks home unaccompanied from any activity will only be allowed to leave unaccompanied if a parent or guardian has provided written consent prior to the commencement of the Activity. Please note if a child is not collected within 15minutes of the set programme finish time they are subject to a £5 administrative fee, this fee will increase every 15 minutes until the child is collected.  

 

Complaints


In the unlikely event that you or your child are dissatisfied with the service we provide then please in the first instance raise it with the senior coach at the activity. He/she will deal will the problem in accordance with our policies and procedures. 


If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction then please write to our customer services team info@ActivityNI.co.uk within 7 days of child’s attendance on the activity.


We take your views and complaints very seriously and will endeavour to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible. Refunds will only be issued if Activity Northern Ireland is proven to be in breach of these Terms &Conditions.

 

Information


Activity Northern Ireland provide run programmes within a number of organisations such as youth groups, schools and community centres as an independent and not as an employee, agent, partner or joint venturer. Neither the organisation nor we have any right, power or authority to bind the other.


The information on this site is updated regularly. However, we hereby exclude any warranties (whether expressed or implied) as to the quality, accuracy, efficacy, completeness, performance, and fitness for a particular purpose of the site.


These Terms and Conditions form the entire agreement between you and Activity Northern Ireland.


By booking an activity with Activity Northern Ireland you are acknowledging your full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and confirm that you have not relied on any other representation other than those contained within these Terms and Conditions. 


If any term within these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable by a competent Court then such term shall be struck out but the remaining terms within these Terms and Conditions shall continue in force to the full extent permitted by law.
